Kelly Ripa’s Grey Hair Just Won’t Dye, Mark Consuelos’ Advice

Kelly Ripa Grey Hair Just Won't Dye, Mark Consuelos' AdviceRipa has finally updated us following her previous statement that her hair just “wants” to be gray. I mean 11 hours in a color chair and still gray? It wants it real bad.

Kelly Ripa – Complains About Her Hair Color On ‘Live! with Kelly and Mark’

There’s a kind of frustration that comes with spending hours on something – especially your hair – and coming out to results that’s less than satisfactory. Like why?

On the June 5 episode of their show, Ripa candidly opened up about her hair predicament to her husband and viewers. She revealed that she had gone in for a hair session a day prior to cover up her grays in time for the filming of the new episode and she had failed.

“It’s still gray,” she complained. “I spent, I don’t mind telling you, about 11-teen hours in the hair color chair yesterday.”

Her husband Mark Consuelos corroborated her story, saying that he saw her getting her hair done when he came home the previous day, which was what she was doing when he left home in the first place.

But the disappointment for Ripa wasn’t that she spent hours on it, but that the required result wasn’t even achieved.

“We sprayed my roots this morning,” she explained as to the reason we can’t see her grays despite the previous day’s failure. “We sprayed the roots with the darkening spray. So I don’t know what to do at this point. Do I just become full Mrs. Claus, or what am I doing?”

But you know, while Ripa was obsessing about it, her husband Consuelos had a good advise to give. “Try out the gray,” he said.

“I don’t think I’m there yet,” she noted. “I told you, my hair isn’t like, it’s not a great gray. It’s almost translucent. It’s like my hair is see-through. What is it called? Those cellophane noodles. That’s what my hair looks like. What do I do with that?”

This conversation is coming a few weeks after Ripa complained about the grays not going away even after spending hours on hair treatment.

“It takes hours and hours,” Ripa said. “And I swear this morning, I still see gray hair. My hair wants to be gray. It just wants to be gray.”
